normally the noise is the otherway round ie you hear the noise from the left when going round a right hand bend,as the weight of the car goes onto the left hand bearing,and vis versa .its a classic test for bearings,if the noise get less when rounding a bend then its the oposite wheel bearing,front ...

find the lowest point on the silencer and drill a small hole about 1mm to alow the condensation to run out while the car is parked overnight,stops rusting on the inside of the system. I use a nail and drive it through the silencer at its lowest point close to the welded end,dos'nt effect the system ...

used QH and other aftermarket brake parts for years and never had any trouble with them either in performance or durability,have only rebuilt brake parts when nothing else available,and have had failures with these after short times.Depends how much money you want to spend.

as well as a fire extinguisher I have a few washing up bottles,filled with water nearby handy for giving a direct squirt inside holes and down gaps.

I have rolled several mgbs ,not quite as heavy I know,like this,Left the wheels on and chocked them with timber against the garge wall then with sutable straps round the front and rear axel used a three ton block and tackle fastened to the roof above the centre of the vehicle and suitably supported ...

don't think its the steel its the tempering,I think,My 5 leaf fitted about a year ago are too stiff,sits 2 inches off the bump stops but has absoulutly no springing.Thinking about taking the small bottom leaf off to soften it up a bit. Can different tempering heats and quenshing make a difference to...

yes thats what it is ,not very good are they,I got one and cut it up to fit but sometimes better to make your own,I didn't think mine was very robust but thats how things are nowadays.

had the same problem with mine eventually went round every nut on the inside of the boot and every entry point and stuck a blob of black silicon on each and rubbed it round the nuts etc cured the problem don't know where it was comming from but dry boot now
