Re: Series II Split Windscreen Question

Try contacting Chris at Tom Roy (details in Minor Matters) He usually has a good stock of second hand parts for sale and will be able to advise regarding the screws - he may even have some.

Re: Douglas Horse Trams

These are rare breed horses. Without something to do these breeds will die out as no one will have a use for them. So long as they're properly cared for etc this is the kind of work they were bred for.

Re: HELP! Insurance inc business use £850! F/James say no!

I should contact MMOC HQ and ask them to mediate on your behalf. 01332 291675 Ask for Liz Saxon.

My husband drives a '62 2 dr (doesn't possess a modern car) into Birmingham every day and has commuting to/from work on his insurance with Footman James.

Re: car insurance

Totally depends on your circumstances, i.e. driving record, age, where you live etc. MMOC members get a discount and can use Footman James quoting their membership number. If you want to have an agreed value MMOC offer a valuing service. Make sure you get it in writing! You will need to contact MMOC...

Re: spam to MMOC email address?

^^ Nothing of that kind is happening I can assure you!. There are firms these days with computers running programmes just trawling email addresses to send spam to. Totally random. I have an email address set up only for close family use. Only used it twice. They've found it and now I'm getting email...

Re: Meet Rosie

To my knowledge there were never any factory made Highway Yellow. It's a lovely colour and it suits the Minor. I personally love the 1961 era of Minor for the new colours the factory used.. Highway Yellow, Porcelain green, Clipper Blue. I own a Clipper Blue and a Porcelain Green :D

Re: Romain green paint code

The best place for original paint is behind the glovebox where it meets the speedo or inside the boot roof (not the lid) These places usually excape unless a previous total bare metal respray has been done before.

Re: Traveller Paddling Pool

Check your front door seals. Are they a good fit? They may be letting in water as you drive along. Check how good the closure is on your rear side sliding windows (where they close to the B post wood).Another source of water ingress. I had this problem and found that the T rubber on the roof was jus...

Re: Last flight of the Vulcan

They certainly wouldn't have let Clarkson anywhere near the Vulcan's mechanics. I remember a programme where Clarkson couldn't even put a car seat in properly - OK he was probably larking around for the camera. He's a presenter whereas Guy Martin demonstrated he had the mechanical knowledge to actua...

Don't loose faith in yourself - you CAN do it - it'll just take a bit of time. We've all been there. If it's getting you down take a few days away from this project. Don't look at the whole thing - sort out a section and work on that bit.
