The early Series 11s had the same design axle as the Series MM but with a 5.375 ratio. You could fit a Series 11 diff to a Series MM but I think that you will just rev...

Re: water jacket

You are better off getting a new water jacket as used ones are likely to have corrosion and will be difficult to seal

You can use a blanking plate instead of the water drain cover and keep the fan blades on the dynamo

Re: This Europe referendum malarkey

Remember when we joined the ERM? What a fiasco that was, it cost a fortune to extricate ourselves from that mess. When we did not join the Euro, industry bosses bleated about that as the Euro was strong against the pound, then they went remarkably quiet when the positions were reversed When the Sout...

Re: rear springs.

Series MM springs are 7 leaf 7/32 thick, however these are difficult to find in good condition so the later 5 leaf 1/4 M1000 saloon spings can be fitted.
The 7 leaf Traveller springs are thicker than the 7 leaf MM springs and will give a harder ride as well as jacking the back end up

Re: Traveller knocking noise

The Traveller has been off the road for the last couple of years and at the the moment is having a go faster engine fitted so I had forgotten about the squeaks and rattles but I am sure that they will still be there when it hits the road again in a few weeks time

Re: This Europe referendum malarkey

I do not recognise the EC as a sovereign state so why should I have their flag and logo on official documents such as passport and drivers licence, and modern car registration plates (I have covered those with a Union Flag sticker)? Next they will be trying to impose an EU national anthem on us!

The drums should fit on either side, you just have to keep the bolts to the matching brake drums.

Early brake drums had BSF threads, later drums had UNF threads
