Re: Torsion bar
Thanks for the tip, but Iv'e thought of maybe another way around it, if I undo the top link and reconect the bottom, then used some thick wire to bind the top link together tightend with pliers!, it's just a rolling shell so should be ok

Torsion bar
Hi, I now need too reconect the bottom lower joint to the torsion bar after replacing the chassis leg, would be easy if the car was not on it's side bolted to a rollover jig, my question is can I tension it now some how so it can be reconected, or do I have too wait until the body is finished and up...

12g940 head
Hi all, got myself a 12g940 head today from an 1974 Marina i'm told, somebody in the past has had the same idea about useing it on a small block engine because one of the exhaust valve seats has already been recest a little to far it looks to me. The distance between the head face and the valve is 1...
Re: Bumpers
Ok, thanks for the feedback all, there are no bumper irons on the back anyway but I need a towbar so that will do for a bumper, one front iron is falling off, i'll weld it back on then make up a tubular bar from steel pipe to go beteen the two, I agree about the headlamp eyelids, naff.
Bumpers
Hi all, I have got a set of wide steels for my car but when it's finished, I don't want to run around with a set of bumpers on it,..
looks too twee for me.
My question is do I have to fit them for the MOT?

Re: Brake drums
I may be wrong but I thought Mini's had 8" drums of the front, if there is little improvment then it's not worth it but I was only thinking of putting Minifins on the front anyway because they are £60, if not more each.

Brake drums
Hi, when I get around to resoring the brakes on my 1964 car, I wish too keep the 8"drum setup with a servo, reading some of the comments about drums nobody I have seen has talked about fitting Minifin drums to their cars, can't they be modified?. Also must have banded steel wheels on the car as...

Welding
Hi, just bought a 64 minor which has got a lot of rot, however I would say half the panels that needed too be replaced have been, incuding inner rear wheel arches, rear end repaired including floor pans but these all need finishing. I have used a arc welder for years and just bought an accessory for...
