Re: National Rally 2023

Steph has produced a great video. Seconded, really excellent, well done Steph! :tu1: Well worth looking at if you haven't done so yet. Incidently, relating back to how far people will take their cars, it is also down to individual enthusiasm as well. There was one lady on the video who travelled up...

Re: Servo or no servo

Hi, I like to fit disc brakes but I haven't added a servo into the set up for a while now. without a servo the brake pedal feel is harder / it takes a little more effort to apply the brakes but not (IMO) excessively so. For me disc brakes allow an emergency stop if needed and give better overall br...

Re: 100k on the clock

If the right car doesn't come along then I won't be dashing into a purchase. So fingers crossed! If you are looking at an advert on eBay or Car & Classic, etc. then why not post up a link to it on here if you are after a second opinion. Not as good as actually viewing it in person of course but...

Re: Morris Centenary 1913 to 2013 car grill badge

If I remember correctly I got mine from the Pre War Morris Register.
May be worth giving them a try.
I have just sent them an email, thanks Phil.
Best wishes,
Mike.

Re: Morris Centenary 1913 to 2013 car grill badge

Thanks Phil for the image of the badge. That's the badge bar version, it's the grill badge version that I'm after. If all else fails you could politely ask the buyer for the badge back, explaining your error? I'm not sure I still have his number but I'll look. However, as the car was 'sold as seen'...

Morris Centenary 1913 to 2013 car grill badge

Hi,
I just wondered if anyone knew where I might get hold of one of the Morris Centenary 1913 to 2013 car grill badges, I inadvertently left mine on the grill of the Traveller when it sold.
Unless I'm about to be advised otherwise, I don't think the MMOC has any left over.
Many thanks,
Mike.

Re: Engine fan

Hi, If you mean the fan blade, then yes, it should bolt onto the water pump the same as the previous one. Don't forget the reinforcing plate though, when attaching it. However, for a more definitive answer you will need to tell us what car this 1275 is fitted into. Plus check what is the clearance ...

Re: One for the brave.......

Identifying this van is ONE of my top 5 priorities! You'll need to go and visit it, have a good look round and make notes then. Fortunately the seller does include his contact number in the advert. If you do post up what you find on here, it would be interesting. And good if it spurs someone on to ...

or a "Gold Plug" which is considerably more expensive but has a very strong Neodymium magnet (Gold Plug AP-01). Links to said 'Gold Plug' and the ESM magnetic plugs below. Best wishes, Mike. https://www.googleadservices.com/pagead/aclk?sa=L&ai=DChcSEwiK4a_cr8P_AhVJ5O0KHRTzC-0YABAPGgJk...

But well worth restoring by someone with the time and skill set. The link below is to a 1950 split screen van on eBay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/304972754430?hash=item4701caedfe:g:hM4AAOSwX51kgYIm&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAAwJ6lljpTQQflf4TttKPKI3YXT1N09pi%2BukWskZGNYx%2BnHK%2FJHILLJIUjRVuUWRGoZ6XZC3...

Re: GPO ladder

I've spent many a happy hour using that to climb poles... Ditto, good practical ladders as I recall. The alloy ones like that one last well too. If it were mine I'd still be using it, not just strapping it to the top of a van for shows. Good luck with the sale, they'll be someone out there with an ...

on Farcebook....
I hope the suspension rises somewhat when the ignition is turned on, otherwise even taking off the drive might prove an issue.
More ornament than means of transport??
Nice looking though.......

Like the Austin. :tu1: And I quite like the Minor concept too but then I understand that it is each to their own. Triumph thought about a sloped (hatch) back Herald too but I believe in house rivalry (BMC) might have been partly behind that one never being more than a concept, albeit one that was b...

maybe you might get thought of as different/ weird without one ! There's a line in a song by 'Rush' that goes: "conform or be cast out" I believe it was a general statement about society at the time, though it could equally apply now. So if being a regular user of 'Facebook', 'Twit ter' e...

Re: The General State of Parts

It might be an idea for clubs to start building up a database of CAD files. An excellent idea, perhaps someone on here planning to attend the MMOC AGM could propose it? At least then we can say it has been officially proposed, if nothing is then done about it (in time) they can't say it was never s...
