I don't think this old chestnut will ever be resolved. Electronic ignition - fit and forget..........until it fails (and they all will eventually) and you are stranded in the middle of BFN. Standard points - check and maintain as per the manual. If they do fail, you have a good chance of coaxing th...

The damper operating principal consists of dual pistons connected to a common rocker arm (the lever). It does not matter which way round they are fitted provided the levers are symmetrical and fitted accordingly. ... until one takes the valve into consideration.. I like the idea, but on the left hand one, the upward stroke will rotate the shaft anti-clockwise, whereas on the right hand one the shaft will rotate clockwise; so my gut reaction is that they cannot be swapped, quite apart from the difference in shape.
