I have similar shocks that were given to me but the crank has extra holes that some suggested were for a Riley 1.5 or A35
On eof them has a paper sticker wih ACA 4002 on it

Hi Bmc;; The armature end spindle is slightly offset as in when turning the brushes are moving side to side this was noticed when replacing brushes and rear bush bearing last year and now this year the dynamo does not put out the ign lamp although it does show it is charging but not enough but it wa...

I was thinking of putting the back plate with the greaser/ oiler of the C39 ( with new bush ) on the c40 and then putting the brush cover plate of the c39 onto the body of the c40 so that it looks like the original c39

It was only the side valve engine that have to have a pump fitted that is hard to find

Put all wheel nuts back on and work on the stubborn ones first use a breaker bar as unless you have a good air pressure or an expensive air wrench (is it the impact type air wrench) it will not be a success. You can use soldering torch to get some heat to the nuts but may damage paint on wheels with...

I used short lengths of rubber tubing pushed on from the back. There are also proper badge fixings that are plastic which you push into the hole in the bonnet ( you will have to enlarge the hole ) and then you push the badge in

3M do a plastic fine line masking tape, if you use ordinary masking tape the paint creeps under the tape and leaves a ragged edge I think the other tape talked about was also 3M and you put the tape on which had a cover tape over two tapes a set distance apart but have not seen that for years
