Windscreen trim
I own a 1967 4 door minor, and have been given some stainless steel front windscreen rubber trim. There is plastic trim in it at the moment. Would anyone know 1. if the stainless trim will fit? 2. Which way round it fits, narrow edge facing the top or the bottom? 3. Is there a special tool needed to...

Re: Wheel Vibration

What could cause this? I've learnt so much from these blogs and want to thank everyone for their expertise, wisdom an...

Hi if you look at member Islip minor he has a photo of the bearings and how they should be fitted correctly
The date of his post was 19th May 2013, I printed the photo he posted and have it in my workshop manual for future reference
Hope this helps

Re: Wheel Vibration
Hi sorry only just seen your reply! Thanks for the advice, I'll give it a go and let you know how it goes!
Should I get the wheel alignment checked, as I've replaced all the bushes and both tie rod ends the alignment may be out, but trying to find someone to do it is a mission
Thanks
Richard

Wheel Vibration
Hi when I 1st bought my minor it drove really well with no vibration even with badly worn bushes, so I have since replced all the bushes with nylon ones, new tie rod ends, new wheel bearings, one wheel needed balancing, but since doing this the steering wheel vibrates at just over 50 mph! Any advice...

Re: Indicators
Problem solved!! Mike Perry was right about each lamp having a separate earth wire, I looked at a wiring diagram in my Haynes manual (When all else fails look at the Instructions)Doh!! And discovered the earth wire (Black) to the R/H Indicator had been plugged into the same female socket as the ligh...

Re: Indicators
The reflector on the left with the bulb in is poorcondition and wants replacing! I found 4 earth connections one in the boot, 1 for each headlamp and one connected under the flasher unit. I cleaned them all up but that hasn't solved the problem! I found a displaced wire on the r/h indicator which I'...

Re: Indicators
Hi all the indicators work it's only when I put the headlights on dipped beam that the R/H side indicator stays on permanently and won't flash, but if I put on main beam it works! very odd!

Re: Indicators
Hi I really appreciate your expertise, electrics isn't one of my strong points! the wiring looks pretty original with old style cloth type outer cable. It looks like the r/h headlight is a sealed beam unit and the left hand has a bulb! I can only see one earth wire that goes straight to one pin of t...
