I make them for the MG T series differentials but on these axles there is no issue with clearance. I make sure the magnet is an interference fit and I press it in using a large vice and don't just rely on the glue.

You can fit this timing mark. Set the engine up to TDC on no 1 cylinder on the compression stroke and mark the damper accordingly.

Here's one of many that I built. DH60 Gypsy Moth-quarter scale. The original was at Shuttleworth at the time where I was a member. Photo of me taken in 1997! I still have it ""Moth balled"" and the same will probably happen to me!

Phil is of course correct but there is a possibility that an SKF Speedi sleeve can be fitted to the flange. There are some kits available (for MG's) that include such a sleeve. I have not tried it. It is also important that the lip seal is designed for the correct angular velocity of the crankshaft....

I agree with Phil. The bore of that pipe is too small for a header tank.

Phil, That is an alternative. The fitting I use on the reservoir is a JIC hard line stainless steel connection fitting. This fitting will take a 37° flared copper pipe either 6mm or 1/4". Both work. I have the proper 37° flaring tool. I am pretty sure that a 45° flare could be used as the coppe...

I have since made Morris minor kits with 6mm copper pipe which I flare. The flare for the reservoir JIC fittings must be 37° and not 45°. The company you bought it from probably does not have a proper flaring tool.

The thread in the block could be NPT-at least it is on the Midget 1275 engine. There is an NPT to BSP adapter available-Part no.: CAM6431 from Brown & Gammons

Phil,
Have a read through this article, you will find it interesting. It is about the XPAG engine which has more or less the same scroll arrangement as the Morris. They strive for a concentric clearance of 0.002".

Gavin, The steps were to measure the nominal thickness of the carrier bearings which are actually metric. The step B was indeed for the MGA which uses 7208B bearings (which replaces the original R&M LJT40) and measure 80x40x18mm. The step A is for the 7207B which replaces the R&M 119LJ35 bea...

Most of the suspension rubbers were cracked on ours before it ever turned a wheel, roughly 2 years after they were fitted. My stocks are very low. I will check with the factory tomorrow. As far as I know there are some kingpin seals over there but the fulcrum pin seals are definetly sold out. Perhaps I can convince my mate to do another production run.
