Re: Broquet Fuel Catalyst

I suspect that they are snake oil, but there’s one on my baby Austin and seems to do no harm.
I’ve read all the history about them... enhancing fighter fuel in WW2 etc... but I can’t get the science. Just doesn’t seem to make sense.

Mexico has announced a novel COVID vaccine based on Tequila.
I think we should take it with a pinch of salt.

Re: Dehumidifiers?

An old sock full of cat litter, under the seat, absorbs amazing amounts of moisture. Then you can dry it out in the airing cupboard, or on a radiator, and reuse it.
Cheap as chips and it works😊

Do you rely entirely on the trafficators, or do you have indicators as well?
Trafficators are easily removed, cleaned and lubricated.

Absolutely. How accurate are the reports that we read? And why do they often contradict each other?

Re: colour blind

Colour blindness can certainly change people’s lives in a big way. Back in the ‘60’s there was an apprentice colliery electrician called Kevan, who kept wiring stuff up incorrectly. It turned out that he was colour blind. The NCB put an end to his career as an electrician, but transferred him to a c...

There was a funny ‘Not the 9 o’clock News’ sketch about that many years ago.
The cashier had a little button to push to make the pump tick over by a penny :D

Re: Car not starting

Alice, there’s something needs sorting. It’s probably not a serious issue, but you must get someone with experience to check it over. The whole point of driving these cars is to enjoy a,relatively, stress free retro experience. And a well sorted Minor is a delight to drive. There’s really not much p...

It’s a little known fact that birds only use two types of twigs to make their nests.

Re: Garage Floor paint

I agree that a stabilising treatment on the concrete will pay dividends in the long run.
If the existing surface has a rough texture the paint will wear off the high spots quite rapidly, regardless of its quality.
Ask me how I know😂😂
