Original equipment
When one collected your brand spanking new minor from the showroom, what was the original equipment? Handle and wheel brace, but was that in a leather/vinyl bag or just loose in the boot? What did you get in way of keys? I would assume 2 keys so you have a spare, but did you get a fob with it? What ...

Re: Circular heater
I’ll open the switch tomorrow and have a good look and a clean out.
Having looked at replacements, it seems financially worth my while to repair it.

Re: Circular heater
Well it appears that it’s the switch that’s gone and not the motor. Looking at the switch, it’s virtually black inside and full of fluff. I tested it with a bulb and battery and it smelt hot to say the least. So in the bin with that one. Anyone know what the type of switch is and from where I can so...

Glove boxes
Do I have the right style of glove box in my minor. Made in April 1963, so just at the point of change over so I’m not sure.
Any ideas?

Re: Circular heater
As a note, why are the heater taps so expensive? New they are £30 and just for an old tap body, it’s £18.

Re: Circular heater
Right oh, I’ll start searching for the reason for the flat battery.
I’m hunting for a tap to replace the knackered valve.

Re: Circular heater
Well I think it’s safe to say that my heater motor is totally US. Whilst in the car on Friday I think I left the motor on (but not moving) as on Sunday when I meant to take the thing to Stratford, the battery was totally dead, so I’ll switch the thing off all together. My heater does have what appea...

Minor roadster
I am thinking of converting my standard minor 1000 to a roadster. I’ve seen a few pictures and it looks really good to me. Plus there are not many around and it will be a good challenge for me. From a technical point of view, I would assume that using the strengthening panels from a convertible conv...

Re: Circular heater
Well thank you for replies, it makes more sense now. When the motor is running, does it make a sound? Having had a fiddle, I cannot tell if it’s on or not as there is no sound. As to the valve, I’ve got the cable operated version but the entire cable, knob and bracket are totally missing, so I am go...

Circular heater
Having never come across one of these before and there is one in my new minor, how does it work? Does it have a motor in it? What’s the knob on the front do?
All basic questions but as I say, I haven’t had one before and I’m without the drivers handbook to aid me.

Re: a minor identity crisis
I do suspect the wings have been changed at some point, so looking at it logically it would make sense to change over to a the newer light.
