I have a oil cooler fitted on my 1275. No idea how, as was done before I owned her. But you're more then welcome to stare under the bonnet or crawl under her at next weeks SADMOG meet to get some ideas perhaps. See you there Thursday, oh and if you can remember the number plate backing plate for me ...

Its the sort of switch normally found on a boat for isolation, handles 100A so more than enough and it fits neatly out of the way under the dash. I've seen them on ebay for a few quid, even new I would expect them to ...

Thanks Andrew I thought that was the case having looked at wire diagram for the year. Yes the heater cable comes out of bulkhead in its own hole near the heater pipes and beneath the choke cable Oh and because she was towing she has a 1275 engine and disc brakes and is actually quite nippy, just don...

sounds a little like my car ;-) I've still got the old heater cable and control, but am in the process of freeing it as it was stuck solid and a brass tap had been used in its place. I have a new control valve ready to fit. I know it may not be as reliable, but I want to be able to turn the heat off...

Thanks, have taken a copy of that sheet. I have also read loads of manuals on what I should be doing. But I know what they are like. Simple instructions like 'apply greese to x' 'simply unbolt y' 'reassemble in reverse order' which we all know results in hours of head straching and the odd naughty w...

OK. So I've had lizzy a number of weeks now and decided that its time for a first service..... my first service on a moggy that is since she must be a pro by now! Of course owning a moggy is all about doing as much yourself as you can, so definatly not off to a garage for this. got a greese gun, plu...
