Re: Kustom Minor
We really shouldn't be getting negative comments on the custom section, but each to their own. I don't like green cars, but I've not been known to make a negative comment on someone's green Minor (well, only if I know them :D ). I wondered when Wolseley brakes would surface I think it's time you tried a disc brake equipped Minor Roy - you wouldn't go back then

I thought it was just me that thought these panels were too short I had to extend them too. Having said that, they weren't too bad a fit.

Re: Safety mods needed...
As I advised, have a read through the numerous threads on how to go about modifying your minor as it's all been done before, then decide what you actually want. Lowering is an issue if you go too low (3 inches will cause problems) unless you re engineer the car. Can you do the work yourself? if not,...

Ford Zetec is a useful swap, but diesel conversions are starting to become popular. Have a look at the JLH website for the best in brake and suspension mods.

ESM's rubber gasket between wing and light base has only a passing resemblance to the real thing. but the remainder of the rear light including lens is fine.

My rover powered minor did consistent 14.5's last time out
My Ls1 powered one managed a 12.9 during a shakedown run - that's with me backing off, so I'd guess 11's is likely.

Re: Door trim plugs
These plugs from esm won't fit unless you place them in boiling water to soften them. Once heated, press them into holes on door whilst still pliable.

Re: Ford Fiesta 1275 cc Engine
The zetec conversion is bread and butter stuff now to the old Ford guys. They have got this down to a fine art without the need of expensive parts. Just check the net for what they do. On the Minor front, contact Stevie (Morrisfixer) as his conversion is possibly the neatest around - prize winner at...

RPI aren't the best folk to speak to with regard to performance - and they are mega pricey. I'll second the disc suggestion, well worth it, and a lot less maintenance once fitted, plus you'll stop .

Re: trunnions?
It really depends what you are considering. Standard set up is fine with most 4 cylinder conversions, but obviously uprated brakes, shocks etc. If properly maintained the upright and trunnions should last for a very long time. I never had to replace anything in 80,000 miles of hard use with a well t...

It is entirely possible it was highland morris/bluemorris68, however, given that the grammar was fine in the advert (unlike his usual nonsense) it may not have been (possible he got a schoolkid to write his hoax advert though :D ). I have his full address if anyone wants to pm me. He was banned on t...
