Two pack is far superior over cellulose, sorry Roy... its more durable, easy to use.... to get a good depth in cellulose you have to put lots and lots of coats on then spend hours cutting it back, if you a good painter ive seen two pack respray gun finish's superb... cellulose also fades and need co...

My advice is buy a shed, as you will soon fill it with interior and running gear, glass, chrome etc... amazing how much space, storage you need when dismantling a car ! good luck and always stay positive as you will always hit lows in any project!

Superb welding and repair work! Nice repairs and no patching up, like how you make panels and not overlapping them onto the old metal and grind them flush and smooth... really good and nice to see another Bt van saved

The cab lower rear panel has been welded on both sides with large plates to the pickup back panel.. they have been plated matt black the plates and these will need to be removed and by grinding the welds down. I sadly have to swap every year between aa and rac... they give you a years offer and then after the year put it up nearly 50 percent then I contact the other organisation and they have the introductory offer so a swap and go with them for twelve months, ive done this for 5 years so far!

Don't forget Les, back in the day ie 15 to 20 years ago they didn't command much money like they do now so you never no... or the owner could of died or been or being kept for personal reasons... everyones circumstances and reasons are always different...

Hi, some had a chrome blank button and some had no hole in the aluminium dash plate atall... all depends, they was all different!

Its most probably a 1098 engine, its sounds like a late vehicle with ignition key not below the speedo etc... rust is the money pit issue esp if you cant tackle the resto work yourself ie welding and painting is the most labour intensive part of a restoration... any documents with the pickup, if not...

Thanks - the spray tent is a Kyham ridgi-dome 3x3 popup shelter, secondhand from ebay - doesn't cover the whole car but has all sides zipped so you can keep most of the fumes in. I've never really considered rebuilding the gearbox - seems a bit too complicated when you can pick one up for a few qui...
