Was this lesson in a modern Katie? Its VERY important that you are comfortable with your driving instructor. If you feel that you can't relax because of them then you aren't going to learn anywhere near as well and you'll likely come out of the test as a more nervous driver. If he makes you uncomfor...

Its a different fitment to the K series engines.

Fundamentally, its a peugeot/citroen lump so I'm not sure if there are any suitable RWD boxes

You probably need a new one then! The valve does wear out after many years.
Why do I "need" one? I'm quite content to leave the heater on!

I tend to leave my heater permanently on, and open the windows if need be.

The heater tap seems to not do a lot anyway :roll:
