folks, i spent 2 hours bleeding brakes last night to no avail. the pedal is still very soft on the first press, after pumping pressure does build up but its the first pump that really lets it down at this stage i'm confident that there is no air in the system, we bled it about 3 times last night, in...

thanks for that, i saw not thinking, i still have the gearbox cover off so the brake pedal is not restricted, putting the gearbox cover on will stop the pedal rising so much. stupid no brain moment.

clutch adjustment is fine, no problems there.

brake pedal

folks

i just put in a new return spring and it seems to be way to strong, the pedal ends up about 3 inchs above the clutch pedal. is there some way to adjust this or is it just a case of waiting for the sring to relax a bit

got it up - that sounds bad but she is raised high enough so she is safe to drive

engine started first time last night, it has been sitting for a couple of years and first touch she was off like a dream, couldn't take the smile of my face all night!!!

its not that much of a big deal, 4 bullit connectors and 2 one way joiners and 5 minutes work to fix, if there was a better one on the market certainly but its not the end of the world!!
