Re: Marina 1275 electronic ignition
Although I'm less than 2 years in, my '62 1098 cc saloon has the Accuspark full kit fitted (distributor, coil, plug leads) and I'm well pleased with it.
Note: Accuspark spark plugs came with the kit but I took advice from other local members and chucked them in the boot to keep as spares!

Re: Brake judder.
Thanks for that suggestion but they're a set of brand new Bridgestones with less than 250 miles on 'em and the wheels were balanced when fitted. The juddering was there on the old tyres as well.

Re: Brake judder.
Thanks very much for the advice/tips, gentlemen. I've done as suggested and been for a run.......but the judder is still there, unfortunately. The tie bar rubbers are not exactly in their first flush of youth but are nowhere near 'shot' or perished. There was a bit of dust in each brake drum. I'm no...

Brake judder.
As per 'subject' really! Braking from 'around town' speeds of, say, 30/35 mph or less, the car's brakes are fine (a Sept '62 1098 cc, 4 door saloon) but much above that - and certainly from 40/50 mph +, there's a bit of of a judder when I apply the brakes. The set-up is bog standard i.e. no servo or...

Yes, we stayed at this hotel in August last year. I was told that every De Vere hotel had a 'promotional' traveller but we stayed at a D V hotel over last new year......and there was no sign of one!Did you see him fairly recently?

Hmmmm? That car is going to be another 'Trigger's broom'! By the time everything is replaced, there'll probably only be the seat frames that are original.............oh, and the log book of course

Re: Jet head sticking on HS2 Carb
Sorry, I can't really bring much to this party except to say that pretty much ever since I have owned my Moggy (approx. 18 mos.) I had thought it was running rich. Both a local club member and myself, at various times, had tried to get a nice smooth tick-over and latte coloured plugs....but without ...

I've just has a look at the few pictures available here https://www.classiccarsforsale.co.uk/mo ... tv35675699 and I've got to say, the 'fit' of the two front seat coverings doesn't look great.

home to a million and one idiot cyclists, I am a regular cyclist but, hopefully, not one of your 1,000,001 crackpots - perhaps we are a bit a bit more sensible outside the London metropolis.... just perhaps? I do know exactly what you mean though. I cringe when I see fellow cyclists jumping lights ...

Re: Coronavirus - classic delivery OK?
Very slightly off topic but I live within about 3 miles from the edge of the Peak National Park, so for years before and during lockdown I have cycled there. Since lockdown it's near perfect cycling conditions as there's hardly any traffic of course. Of what traffic there is, I think there's a dispr...

Re: 1953 (March) Series II Restoration
Especially as we now have extremely restricted freedom of movement in place, which for me means walks in the Peak District, which I love, are out of bounds. I'm not too sure about this, if I'm honest. Today and yesterday I went for bike rides, as it happens, also in the Peak District from my home i...

I don't drink much at all but quite out of the blue my wife has just suggested that we 'open a bottle'. Much to her surprise, I agreed.
Do you reckon that if I drink enough and pass out, someone can arrange to bring me round again...….about September?

I know I'm putting my head above the parapet...….
