You're not wrong and I paid less for mine - so I bought two. One is in my workshop running on a 12v battery. Here's a picture of the one I bought, it's tiny but works really well :)

Re: Battery drain from radio

Have you tried disconnecting the memory wire to see if it is essential? It isn't just for the clock? I've bought something along the lines of this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Remote-DC-12V-Car-Audio-Amplifier-Motorcycle-Amp-USB-SD-MP3-Player-FM-Radio-/281009831993?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item...

Can you identify any of these parts...

...please? Many years ago I bought a van load of parts without making a note of what I was getting. So, now I have a pile of parts and although I can identify an engine and gearbox etc. I have no idea if there is anything useful, special or of value to anyone. Please take a look at the pictures and ...

Re: Cherokee Red Vinyl

I know this is an old thread but here's an email I received earlier regarding cherokee vinyl. As previously mentioned, Newton won't sell it so, maybe the club should buy 1000m to keep in club spares!! Dear David, Many thanks for your enquiry. We have indeed manufactured the Cherokee Red product. It ...

Re: Back light switches

Some bakelite products contain asbestos! If you have a ruined switch that you no longer want, send it to me and I'll get my lab to run a test on it. However, you might not want to know the result

Re: Fitting front speakers

Here's a few snaps of the speakers I put together. No detailed instructions, but I'll do them if there are any requests... New cards with spacers to keep the speakers away from the car body. http://img838.imageshack.us/img838/5180/rp1020226.jpg Padded with wadding to hide the spacers. http://img210....

Re: Fitting front speakers

I'm planning to fit speakers in the same place and I was going to do a 'how to' for this forum so if you can wait until the new year, I'll do detailed instructions? I've bought some slim speakers with a mounting depth of 45mm, which is just about all the space there is behind the panels. If you don'...

Thanks Woosh! The work on the car came to around £2800 inc. VAT and I had (amongst other things) new inner & outer sills, new boot floor, box sections, both chassis legs replaced and A & B post and inner wing repaired. New braking system, suspension strip & new bushes, new fuel line, ful...

Re: Body Restoration.

I've just got my car back from Millennium where I had (amongst other things) new inner & outer sills, new boot floor, box sections, both chassis legs replaces and A & B post and inner wing repaired. I could have had patch welding done for a fraction of the cost but I know I'm good for a long...

Re: Low cost carpet protection solution

If you want a mid-range option, you can have any shape piece of carpet bound in the same way as the samples by your local (decent) carpet shop and it as around 50p per foot where I live. Tailored mats for a tenner!

A quick hello from Manchester

I thought I'd better say 'hi' and 'thanks' as I signed up a few weeks ago and have been taking advantage of all the wise words on here ever since. Although I've been a member of the MMOC since the late '90s when I bought the car I've never siged up to the web site until recently. My car? It's a 1962...
