These insurance quotes for young drivers make me shudder, though clearly it looks like a Minor offers a less painful alternative. I reminded me of when my grandfather bought an XK 140 Jaguar (Before my time) and had my father (Then aged 18 or 19) as a named driver. The premium was £60 per annum. No ...

MG Midget engines fit easiest, as the mountings are all the same (Indeed the Midget gearbox even has the steering rack cut out). I suspect you may find more of these for sale than Marinas, as Midgets/Sprites have been collectable for a long time. There is no substitute for hearing an engine running ...

I posted the following on another thread and it is relevant here. I have to say that as the driver of classic cars (I have no “Modern”) and also a keen cyclist (By cyclist, I don’t mean someone who rides on pavements or at night without lights – these are the equivalent of the uninsured, no MOT, ban...

Just bear in mind that what works well with Minis and Midgets, doesn't always work so well with the heavier Minor. Bottom end grunt is more important in the Minor. Obviously make sure the bottom end is right. If you're looking for quite a bit more, an oil cooler (With thermostat) is good and Peter M...
