Re: Registration and Tax question
Just to add to this - the online process to change ownership will work provided that its the last V5 issued. 2 years or so ago I did an online change of ownership, from one of the early cream coloured V5s. Off the top of my head that particular doc was issued in 1983. Given the covid situation, I wo...

Re: Constantly flooding when trying to cold start
If the ignition is on, the fuel pump ticks rapidly to get fuel to the carb and then it should stop. If it keeps ticking, albeit at a reduced rate the valve is probably partially sticking open. If you take the air filter off, and hold the throttle open you might even be able to see the fuel coming in...

It all happened in the good old, bad old, days when I was still a moderator on the site (march 2014)... before I decided that paying for MMOC membership costs pretty much just to do work for them was a little daft and I let my membership lapse (April 2014)

If you are methodical its not hard to put a new wiring loom in. I restored a sprite a few years ago and entrusted the loom install to a friend, who I was confident knew what he was doing, because I didn't have the time. Needless to say that didn't work out too well, various things didn't work proper...

Have you offered up the MX5 clutch plate to the flywheel and the 1098 cover? There is often spare space around the edge of the friction material and it might just about work without any mucking about?

Re: T9 clutch disc
I can't remember exactly what you need... but every MT75/T9 gearbox I have come across has a 1" x 23 tooth spline. FWD boxes have a smaller spline. I have a T9 input shaft in my tool box specifically to be a clutch alignment tool. That looks like a standard 1098 clutch cover to me and I think t...
