Yes, dynamo is direct drive.

First thing I'll do is check for spark at the plugs, and do a little compression test.

I am still suffering from the same problems, and it annoys me... I use more than 1 Phpbb message board, and this is the only one I have trouble with, which for me would suggest the error is not on my side..
