Push a small screwdriver into the hole which should release a spring loaded pin on the switch spindle, the knob then pulls off. It's a push and pull oper...

That's what I did Kevin, using silicon fluid only after renewal of all the cylinders and seals etc. It's been in the saloon for 7 years and the Traveller for 5. However the Traveller fluid has had some renewal after replacing all the front wheel cylinders recently. Automec do state that mixing with ...

On both my cars the adjusting rod has a 5/16UNF thread, the conventional hex. locking nut requires a 1/2AF spanner but the adjusting nut needs a 11/16AF spanner. (or two shifters!)

Afer eliminating all the usual and easy suspects on my Traveller and still judder in reverse to the point that the flared end of the exhaust pipe eventually cracked  , it did turn out to be the engine mounting rubbers. Kevin is right about the new rubber being too hard - the judder's gone but v...

According to Automec who make DOT5 Silicone brake fluid it is quite safe to mix it with normal DOT4 fluid. However the advantages of a higher boiling point and moisture absorbancy resistance will be lost. The only fluid it can't be mixed with is the mineral based type used in some Citroen and Rolls ...

You say all, but did they check the tie rod/bar bushes and their security. ie. the rods, ffront to back direction which connect the lower front suspension arm to the chassis rail. Could only be making the noise depending on the braking effort being applied. A clonk is difficult to describe though an...

Personal and professional opinion - a waste of money.
I have been told that when the really thick/viscous versions of the stuff is poured into the sump it has very occasionally caused a failure of the oil pump drive in some engines because they are not intended to pump liquid of that initial viscosity

Grandmother and eggs might apply, but you will also need the straight adaptor for the side connection to accept the pipe union. The ESM "t" adaptor hopefully has a female connection on the end, not visible, to accept the existing pressure switch?
