Hi all,
What is the 'going' cost of a Minor battery? On-line seems to be around £40, I've looked at Battery Megastore but other suggestions most appreciated
Cheers!

Phil, thanks very much for your explanation.
Looking closely at your photo I can see that very little needs to be removed from the damper shroud

Whilst there are volunteers at the top end of the MMOC, I believe it is, and has been since 1980, a limited company, (https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/comp ... 4/officers). It will therefore have paid officers / employees and in all likelihood a process for granting expense claims . Looking at th...

Phil
Very good work around with excellent photo, seems much easier than that recommended by the MMOC Tech Adviser but is there a possibility that the damper body could contact the bottom of the chassis leg?
Blod take note

Re: Pics
I'm getting confused with this thread
Any "Photobucket" photos in posts have now disappeared unless P'bucket fees are paid but photos can still be posted provided they are from files stored on a PC/laptop which I have done.
Is this, very simply, the situation?

Thanks all for replies.
Welding in this area I found fairly easy and not awkward, although my welding is not brilliant the welds had good penetration. All windows masked up and old blanket over seats and removing the rear wing made life easier.

P1010055.JPG Hi all, see photo, plan is to cut along the yellow line and weld a plate from inside the Trav and tack the plate to the vertical section. I will probably remove the wing to see if there are any other surprises. All welded joints to be seam sealed and /or Tiger Seal. My time is at a pre...

Re: MMOC Van & Pickup Register
[quote="LouiseM" ]What are you basing that comment on Irmscher? I just did a quick Google search on membership fees for a variety of British classic car clubs and the MMOC fees were cheaper than most eg MG £47, Morris Register £34.50, P6 Rover £30, Austin A30 £30. Yes, there will be some c...

Re: Winter fuel allowance
Best way for the Government to go forward is to treat the winter fuel allowance as taxed income and a lot of OAP's pay tax!
Administratively easy and the least well off will be able to keep all the allowance
