It would be nice to have internal heater controls, but when they swapped for the 1275 engine they fitted the hand turn valve. and the long unused heater cable has frozen. keep an eye on the oil level over a few weeks, if it drops it may be an issue, if not its just soot and condensation from a start.

Most old cars I've had as well as some newer diesels have left some sort of mark on the garage floor over time.

quick search online....

ACC201 is the guage, looks like a smiths one
ACC200 is the sender
10M105 is the copper washer for sender

looks like about 40 quid to get the whole lot
