Because Taylor Swift, a young woman who apparently is a popular singer, is dating a Kansas City Chiefs player named Travis Kelce......, and the Chiefs are in their 4th Super Bowl in five years on Sunday......, .... the 'Right Wing Nut Job Media' in the US...

Have you tried asking on the various facebook groups, not only for Minors, but Classic Cars in general?

Re: Membership benefits - Esso Fuel Card
I had the same experience, I went further than you and asked a 3rd time, getting more forthright in questioning their lack of information and still the same stock response. I went on Trust Pilot and left a 1* Review, copying the text of the responses,to see what the effect would be... Less than 24 h...

Re: minor lowlite
Hi Muzzman It never ceases to amaze me how many people seem to mention 998cc engines with regard Minors; because as far as I'm aware, the A Series 970, 997 and 998cc engines were only ever used on the Transverse gearbox of the Mini etc. Unless Au/NZ production was different. But typos aside, back to...

Re: SU fuel pump, only clicking once.
It has a new, SU pump, that has suddenly stopped working. I clicks once, when a voltage is applied, but that's it. No tick, tick, tick, etc. Further detail required. New as it fitted in the last few weeks, or just fitted today and it's only clicking once every time power applied ? If it's new today...

Re: Number plate light
Black is always the Earth Wire. Lamps always earth to the body. Red is the Side Lights, which includes the number plate, so Red to central contact. Make sure you have a supply, but also make sure the earth is good. Use a meter if you have one, 12v on the red when switched on, and the Black should be...

Re: Rocker cover plate
Thank you chaps, much appreciated. My neighbour has confirmed that he has a rivet gun so I'll buy some sealed, blind, closed end, short rivets as soon as I find them on eBay. Love this forum! :D :tu1: * Found some which look right but they have what looks like a thread on them, as if there isn't en...

Re: Rocker cover plate
Phil has covered it, but you have to be careful of terminology. A 'Blind Rivet' is one where you don't need to the the other side with some type of tool such as a reaction block. The problem with the blind/pop rivet is that after the mandrel has snapped off when it's competed it's compression, it ca...

Re: Membership benefits - Esso Fuel Card
Does anyone know if the Fuelpecker cards will be automatically replaced when they expire, or is it a benefit that won't be continued? I certainly haven't seen it mentioned in the magazine for a good while . The expiry date is next month and it's been handy as there is an Esso station is not far awa...

Re: MOT exempt for 1275 engine
Just make sure you insurance company know about the modifications to your vehicle. I wouldn't worry so much about the DVLA. I wouldn't be so dismissive of ensuring the DVLA have the correct details. I believe the fine is £1000 if they choose to go that route. . I have recently bought a 57 4-door wi...

Re: molding rear arches rather than piping
Such bodywork matters are not my forte, however I would sat that it's not going to be easy with bolted on wings and more likely to move in my view. I know (pre-55), the Front wings started with piping but then went to filler, but being hidden in the bonnet trough is a lot different to being exposed ...

Re: MOT exempt for 1275 engine
The actual wording is Engine – alternative cubic capacities of the same basic engine and alternative original equipment engines are not considered a substantial change. Followed by If the number of cylinders in an engine is different from the original, it is likely to be, but not necessarily, the ca...

Re: Horn wiring - 1953 Series II
I believe you'll find it very similar to the version used on the 1000 models with a central horn push. So you might find this parts manual illustration helpful.

Re: Washer Pump Trico/Lucas
Well since all Minors factory fitted with any washers were manually operated, the fact they your electric one is always live is down entirely to how it was installed. I assume it doesn't run continually, I therefore also deduce that the installer must've switched the earth, just as the Horn does.......
