2 speed wipers Push-Pull Type switch

I am in the process of converting my clap hands style wipers over to a two speed wipers. A two-speed motor is on the way. I will be swapping a 46-tooth, 100-degree gear wheel in to it.. This is the original wheel from my wiper motor on my car so that solves the motor gear problem. Now I am trying to...

Re: 2 speed wiper motors

It depends on the year of the Morris on what the set up is on the motor. Gear wheels range from 95° to 175° and go in 5° increments. The gear size and number of teeth varies with different cars. Morris Minor had 3 changes At least that is what the book I read had stated - I have not looked at all th...

2 speed wipers Push-Pull Type switch

I am in the process of swapping my clap hands style wipers over to a two speed wipers. A two-speed motor is on the way. It has a 46-tooth, 100-degree gear wheel. This is the same as the original wiper motor so I think that solves the motor problem. Now I am trying to find a dash switch to operate th...

Re: 1098cc motor compression

The stock starter the bendex comes engages from the rear of the ring gear. My old starter - the teeth on the starter were chiped all the way around. I did not see any damage on the ring gear. But it is hard to tell with out pulling the motor. The Isuzu starter engages from the front side of the ring...

Re: 1098cc motor compression

Is there is a way to tell if the motor in a high or low compression motor? I believe only the high compression motor was exported to the USA. The vehicle is left hand drive with a crayon mark USA on the firewall. Assuming it is a high compression motor is 130's mean I am looking at a rebuild? The mo...

Re: question on LP - 936 - 4 1/2" Morris rims

Thank You very much for all your answers.
I had never seen them before and ran across them on the site i posted.
I thought it was very interesting there were different rims that were 4 1/2" .
Yet i could only find reference to the LP-917 rims in any books.

question on LP - 936 - 4 1/2" Morris rims

What year & Model Morris vehicle used the LP - 936 - 4 1/2" rims? I knew about the model LP - 917 - 4 1/2" rims. These were fitted to late 8 CWT Vans and Pick-ups. Today a friend came up with a LP - 936 rim and it is also 4 1/2" rim. He thought it was the same as the rims i have o...

Re: TRAFFICATOR SWITCH QUESTION

My car is a 1960 Morris Minor export. I verified the year of the car from the number on the firewall. The turn signal may have been replaced in the past - It all works - so I am happy. My car has a 1275cc motor, Transmission, disk brakes & 3.90 rear end. The seats were replaced with Subaru bucke...

Re: TRAFFICATOR SWITCH QUESTION

Sorry I should have been a little clearer in my post. I have an early 1960 Tourer. It has the old style turn indicator. It has a Yellow light on top of the turn unit. These all work fine inside & out. I want to add the side Semi for trafficators on a separate circuit. I have all the parts except...

TRAFFICATOR SWITCH QUESTION

What trafficator switch are you using?

I see several different styles.
Some light - others do not
One style self cancels

Where was the switch mounted on a Tourer?

Got a picture to share?

Happy New Year

Cheers,

Re: Stereo!

If you go old style they made a slide bracket for car stereos under dash. The bracket had a lock and releases so you can remove the stereo. You still have to remove the attena wire from the bask and any RCA plugs. All of the other wiring stays with the top bracket - power, ground, speaker wires. The...

Re: TRAFFICATOR / SEMAPHORE LIGHTS TROUBLE

Flower, Most of the parts are not available from dealers for trafficators. You need the trafficator unit; there is a baffle to keep rain out. There is a mount for the trafficator. Tourers had a bent one. Travelers had a flat one. I am sure there are people who use the diagram above. I would not - I ...

Morris Million One

Hay Guys, Here is a shot of the 01 cars serial number stamped in the metal in the engine compartment. This is a left hand drive export in need of total restoration. Engine is period correct - not original. The car is located over 1000 miles from me so it took some time to get a picture. I hope this ...

Re: Morris Minor Badge colors

Gang,

I was a little confused as the paint looks Aqua under the Bull which is red. The bottom is Blue - but a different shade of blue. That is why i wanted to know if there were official colors.

Thank you for the link and all the replies too.
