Re: Difference in 948 and 1098 lever?

I assume you mean the gear stick lever, if so I believe there are differences as a friend swapped a gearbox both 1098 ones over and found that the gear lever touched the front seat in one of the gears, but when the one from the original one was re-fitted all was ok so there must be a difference.

Horn Position

I have just noticed that my horn is mounted in the wrong position its high on the inner wing at the front, but for the life of me I cant remember the correct position and I seem to have a couple of places it will go, can anyone refresh my terrible memory or even pop up a photo.

Re: types of metals and their quirks when used in fixings, nuts,

also, what was used for the studs on the thermostat housing and what is supplied now for a replacement? many thanks. As Les has said steel, but a useful trick with the thermostat housing is to open up the bolt holes with the next size drill to give a little more clearance on the studs, also I alway...

Re: Morris Minor Saloon

Yes an mot is required but most numberplate traders seem to be able to get one anyway irrespective of condition I suspect they simply put the plates on another car for the test :( Some testing stations are more fussy than others re checking chassis numbers etc. The car dosent come with the numberpl...

Re: Rolling Road advice

Hohoho...... I rather suspect ACD will charge a bit more than £50.... But he comes HIGHLY recommended by the Mini lads - and he REALLY knows what he is doing with an A series. I've never been there - but if I was going to have my A series rolling roaded - it's the ONLY place I would consider. You s...

I always thought that to transfer a number plate the car had to have a valid MOT which this one doesn't.
