Re: Anyone heard from kotemaori?
I think he's in South Toowoomba. Not sure how things went there. Here's hoping everything is OK.

Something Other Than Snow.
Some pics of the Monsoon taken by a workmate. Just as an aside, Darwin is the Lightening Strike Capital of the World as you'll see.[frame] http://mmoc.org.uk/mbimage.php?src=1294554373_8115 [/frame][frame] http://mmoc.org.uk/mbimage.php?src=1294554417_8115 [/frame][frame] http://mmoc.org.uk/mbimage....

A Long, Long Way From Home
A Steyr-Puch campervan spotted at the Parap Village Markets. Quite a long way from home.[frame][/frame][frame][/frame]

Rego (MOT) Passed!
Over the pits at the test centre today and we've passed for another year. Leapt out of the rolling road on the handbrake test, much to the inspector's surprise (who says drum brakes are rubbish?). Verbal notice on a slightly leaking rear left damper but nothing in writing. Stoked!

Re: FAN WITH MORE THAN TWO BLADES???
I have a four bladed fan. Temperature here is 30 - 35 degrees C all year. Never had a boilover even in stop/start traffic. Use a decent quality coolant though.

Re: Solar Charger
I have a very cheap one that sits on the ground outside my garage roller door with the wire running inside. It is in full sun (proper sun mind you, not UK sun :D), has been through a couple of monsoon seasons and still works perfectly. My wife has even managed to run the plug connector over a couple...

Re: How to cut braided hose?
I think I'll dremel the braid and then cut the hose with the wife's good kitchen scissors (when she's out).

How to cut braided hose?
Anyone know what to use to cut stainless braided fuel hose? Is there a special tool or can I just have at it with sharp tin snips or similar?

Re: And they call it "Progress"
Australia is currently in the progress of switching all tv broadcasting to digital. I have it currently and it is rubbish. Darwin is considered 'Remote/Regional" and as such is generally behind the eight ball whenever it comes to Government funded technology roll-outs, we either don't get it or...

That's pretty much what I did. Turn a bit, have a listen, turn a bit, have a listen etc. Just keep going until it is idling nicely.

Re: Safety considerations
I learnt to drive in a Mog many years ago. It certainly taught me the value of maintaining a safe driving distance from the car in front, anticipating the need for braking and driving to road and weather conditions. I also learnt alot about car maintenance. ABS, airbags, power steering etc make for ...

Re: K&N air filter with stub stack
Here's my set-up. A Ramflo 300 series air filter with a stub stack from Calver Special Tuning in the UK. Nice full radius on the stack and lots of room inside the filter for the air to flow into the carb. Stub stacks seem to work better when the filter is centred over the carb inlet, not offset. I h...

I don't know the size but I think Supercheap sell packs of half a dozen of various sizes. Ask for bulkhead or firewall grommets.

Check the float needle, it may be stuck in the closed position or the float may be stuck holding the needle closed. I recently had exactly the same problem.

Re: Spotted today.
I usually go for 6 months without spotting another Mog, then a couple of weeks ago I spotted 2 within couple of days of each other. After a double-take on both occasions, a quick U-turn and a photo was in order.[frame] http://mmoc.org.uk/mbimage.php?src=1281316322_8115 [/frame][frame] http://mmoc.or...
