Trafalgar Blue
I'm looking to buy paint soon, has anyone got the code for Trafalgar Blue? I understand that there are 2 shades, I think I need the darker one. Thanks.

Cant remember the code...BLBU something rings a bell and I got mine from Halfords, also the darker shade, and the match was perfect.

Tracked it from a previous post when I was asking the same question.......
Text Below - and it was the BU code that halfords mixed.
Hi, from my records the colour code for the 1962 onwards Trafalgar blue are,--BMC code =BU37 ICI code = 6189 but it was not used on the Traveller until the 1098cc engine came out. I hope this helps.

Thanks to all. Are you sure about using the same code? I thought the code ensured the correct shade. I have recently been told by a supplier that there is a standard and 'intense' shade, which confused the picture a bit more! I'm not trying to match up, just to get what I thought was Trafalgar blue.

The one I got from Halfords was a nice dark blue - proper Trafalgar deep sea blue! (Which as everyone knows is the best colour for a moggy of course!)

Re: Trafalgar Blue
I appreciate this thread was a long time ago, but has anybody found a supplier of neat cellulose in the later 'deep sea' greeney-blue version of Trafalgar?
I repainted my engine bay today, and discovered that there are indeed two VERY different shades of Trafalgar!

Re: Trafalgar Blue
Only info I've seen states Trafalgar Blue: BMC/BLMC paint code BU37, with an accompanying and rather unhelpful note stating 'Slightly lighter shade from 1968'.
Think you may have to get a paint specialist to match up and mix whichever version you need...
