Really great thread, and a very inspiring read. Might have to soup up my Midget-engined Traveller sometime...

Good to see that the car is to be put back to regular use. 8)

What sort of average mpg does it return?

No idea of the mpg. Sorry.

However this car is now for sale as I need to make space on the driveway (we're moving only room for 3 cars) I plan to sell this car, my saab 95v4 estate and buy fozwangers twin cam traveller (on sale on this site) to do the job of both cars.

These Eaton blowers seem to be finding their way onto a good many A-series. How about this 998cc Metro version:

Just took great delight in winning a little drag race with a modified honda civic complete with dustbin exhaust pipe, tinted windows, shopping list style stickers.
The young man driving it looked very put out after being beaten by a Morris Minor.

I know exactly what you mean, I used to love moments like that in it, it was even better with the side exit exhaust screaming at them as you went passed.

I have to admit to missing the little thing but I have moved on to pastures quicker.

I've just sold this car, to a man called Kieth. Let's hope he continues this thread.
