First Moggie

Post by Em »

Hi, I’ve just bought my first moggie. He’s a 1967 2 door. It’s my second car and luckily I’m used to life without power steering. I’ve admired the minor from afar for a long time and finally got the money together to get one. I went to a dealer in the end as I looked at a couple I found on the internet and the more I saw I realised the less I knew. Even I could spot some “interesting” features . At least this way I got a bit of a warranty. I’m hoping he’s going to be a car I can learn from. I’m actually a 3rd generation minor owner, but my Dad and Granddad had theirs before I was born. I’ll post some photo’s when I find the cable to connect my camera to the computer.

Here's a picture. I'm yet to decide on a name but do have a few in mind. I think he's had quite a bit of work done and will need some more, but then the same could be said about most hollywood stars. He's not concours and I doubt he ever will be, but he is mine :D

*Sorry, but I've resized and reposted the pic. 1024px wide is a little big for viewing without sideways scrolling, even on a screen set to 1280x1024 :( The original is at - sorry, removed, at least temporarily. PM sent, Emma *

Righty, PM swappage done. The larger sized pic is here - http://www.bigginger.com/images/DSC08678B.jpg

It's only 1024x768, but I was (as usual) getting bugged by the sideways scrolling thing
