£40-£50 each for decent rust free van rims is about the going rate imho.
Its all these folk wanting them for cars that drives the price up, rather than just the few people who have an 8cwt van who really should have them

My first van (8cwt) came with 185 tyres on saloon rims! One of the 5 wheels was an 8Cwt van rim, and I've still got it after 19 years (the van was beyond saving although these day's I'd be stupid enough to do it)Its all these folk wanting them for cars that drives the price up, rather than just the few people who have an 8cwt van who really should have them
The price he wants is on the high side of normal but depends if they are in good nick with no pitting and no dents / buckles.
I've had a few sets over the years and sometimes had to pay through the nose - other times they were a gift.

Indeed. Depends whos selling and who wants them. I acquired a very manky little trailer with Minor wheels on it earlier this year and one of those was a van one Another garage clearout liberated two from the scrap pile of standard rims and I just need to persuade soemone I know that his traveller ought to have 4 standard rims rather than three narrow and one wide and I'll have made up another set for something. Well, still got to dispose of the old tyres and see what the shotblasters make of them but its as near to free as things get....
Also know of someone who spent £300 for five, though they were nice with good tyres, and no it wasn't me selling them for that either!

I wonder how long they will be up for sale before some snaps them up.
I'm betting they will go for the Buy Now price early on Thursday morning.
There again if someone places a bid the Buy Now will disappear so they might even fetch far more if the auction runs it's course.

BTW I've got insomnia (again) in case anyone wonders why I'm posting at this time of night / early morning

Besides normal medication doctor wanted me to try diazapam for a week to see if ii'd help control Tietze attacks. It worked in a fashion but the side effects are poor sleep pattern. Strange as doctor said it'd do the opposite and help me get a better nights sleep !
BTW now stopped Diazapam, had attack last night and feel as if I've been hit in the chest just above my heart with a lump hammer

These wheels are like Gold - the asking price looks fair enough to me. They will be an investment - the price will only rise further as time rolls on.
