Modified Morris Minor needed for filming 8th or 9th Septembe

Post by JMell »

Hello, my name is Jacqueline Mellor, the television company I am working for is called 'Done & Dusted. We are making a series of lifestyle programmes to be shown on mobile phones.

As it is the 60th anniversary of the Morris Minor we would really like to film a beautifully restored Morris Minor and a modified Morris Minor. The filming would take place on either 8th or 9th September and should take approx 3 hours.

Please could owners of Morris Minor's who think would be suitable for filming get in contact with me on either jm@doneanddusted.com or 0207 297 8060.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Many thanks

A suggestion of whereabouts in the country the filming will take place would be helpful and also would the owner be recompensed for their expenses?

Probably a 3 network thing?

Their website doesn't work and a google search lists links that don't work?

Can't help but be a little suspicious of an "award" winning company who have apparently worked with people like Amy Winehouse and channel 4 etc - but they don't have a working website?

:)

I don't think you need to be "suspicious" - a well enough known company

Really?
I know its technically possible with the fancy models these days but do folk really sit there and watch stuff on those tiny screens?
What would Macgyver do..?

Hi Benmagoo, the website is currently under construction - but I am more than happy to email you the company's cv if you wish!

It isn't a 3 network programme either the short programmes will be shown on Nokia mobile phones.

Many thanks

Filming is likely to take place at Millbrook Proving Ground near Northampton.

The first thing I did was check out their website and they have done a lot filming of music concerts.

The filming is now likely to be on a local farm in the Peterborough area and not the Millbrook Proving Ground.
Now I know its up to the individual to decide but please make sure the insurance available will cover your car correctly as it will be on private ground and it should cover any damage etc especially as they want a TV presenter to drive the vehicles.
Also it appears they are not prepared to offer a fee for the cars taking part which as they are the basis of the filming I find a little off putting because without the cars there would be no Topic (Morris Minor 60th Anniversary ) for the filming, all filming I have done previously has been with a fee paid for the car and I did the driving.
I am not trying to put anyone off but just to make them aware of the pitfalls.
Cheers

I'd like to make a movie with Angelina Jolie.
I'm hoping she would do it for free if I bought her a Dr.Pepper and a sandwich and because I'd mention her name in the credits too. I'd even give her a few copies of the movie too if the food and drink wasn't enough to cover her expenses....
