If you ignore the first 3 months it's £96 a year, think I'd prefer to give that sort of money (or hopefully less) direct to RAC rather than to Lloyds.

I get it for free anyway with my bank (staff benefits and all!) but thought I'd point it out

Sure, thanks for that Dan. In an ideal world of course I don't want to give my hard-earned to anybody! Especially for something that might never be called upon - damn, there goes what's left of my karma.

I thought Lloyds only offered this cover for cars under a certain age?

The way round it is to join someone who'll let you join as a driver, rather than covering individual cars. I know the RAC does that because that's what Mrs Tony has, but I'm not sure about the AA or others? Most of them quiz you on your car when you're filling out application forms and then tell you to 'go forth and multiply' if it's ten years old or more.

Just to say thanks kennatt (and others on earlier replies) for suggesting RH, they fixed me up with the same package as kennatt for just £76 – and that was with an SP30 on my licence. Brilliant.
