Favourite Minor
Just out of interest, if you could have ONE Minor, what would it be?
Series? Year? Colour? Engine? Variant? Condition? Extras?
What would be perfection in YOUR eyes?
For example, mine would be:
Series MM, 1948, Black, Sidevalve 918cc, 2 door Saloon, original unrestored immaculate condition.
Gill's would be:
Series II, 1954, Black, 2.0 Zetec Turbo, Van, Freshly Restored, Chrome Weller 8 spoke wheels.
Anyone else?

hum...interesting one this.
for looks and power, a converted early series II saloon with lowlight grille(i wouldn't want to kill a genuine lowlight) in 2 door format, a beautiful rover V8 with a supercharger(saw one on a sd1 and thought wow!) and some steel wheels. sort of sleeper look until you see the charger!
for what i REALLY want, a van converted to camper(fold flat seats and pop off steering wheel would sort this) with some choice mods, 1400/1600 zetec for plenty of power but not silly. nothing outrageous but a very useable van, so ford brakes/axle etc all the "usual" mods on suspension etc.
the van idea is a genuine possibilty(bar the engine, that would just cost me too much to set up!) if i come to sell teh car in the summer.
the saloon idea...no chance will i ever be able to do that!! but a lovely dream!

What I got but better
1971 Traveller in Glacier White. Has to be in perfect condition, but with a warmed over 1275, 5 speed box, 3.9 diff, ford discs & looking totally standard
Of course, if I was allowed a second one and money no object.....
2.0 zetec pickup in dark metallic blue with all the extra JLH mods....
