I was thinking about doing one. I started the thread of a proper hog roast in somerset, but then the national was announced to be held at Haynes, which is about 15 miles from where I was thinking. Maybe next year?

Oooh. Bletchley.

Computer and Minor geeking.

Shiny.

Depending on timing I'd probably do Bletchley. I'd love to see it now... :)

Yes, we'd be up for that too as long as dates were OK :-)

Never been there personally but driven past plenty of times. We would be interested again, depending on dates. It's about 120 miles for us. :D :D

I thought Matt was arranging something. Although his thread was somewhat hijacked  it does look as though something is already being planned:

PS I don't think the previous thread was taken over, it simply raised the question of insurance to protect the organiser. However if everyone accepts all risks themselves if they attend, no problem.

No offence to Matt but we wouldn't travel down to Portsmouth - it's just to far - Maybe we should have a North and South event?

There is no problem with insurance. Your normal car insurance is perfectly adequate.

Bletchley Park would be fantastic... not sure Clover will make it to Haynes this year (although we will be there) as Somerset will be a long haul for the as yet un MOT-ed motor but Bletchley would be a nice local run for us, so it'll be something to aim for!! Count us in! (Bletchley Park is beautiful!!)

Bletchley park is just outside Milton Keynes. For homework, everybody must watch the rather excellent film "Enigma", which stars Kate Winslet and has a rather fine John Barry soundtrack.
