New addition to the fleet

Post by PSL184 »

Bodywork is all good. One nasty piece of wood, but that's all. Interior is a mess. Booked in for MOT on Monday :o

Thanks Lou (you are ahead of me  will post cheque today). He / She was registered Nov 61. Traffictors still fitted but taped down so I will try and resurect them. Interior nasty but I've got good replacement front seats to pick up next week and I'll be buying a new carpet and headlining too

So 'she' is now called Jack...

One comment on trafficators on a traveller - they are positioned so that when you indicate left to pull to the kerb, and the passenger gets out of the door, the trafficator often gets snapped :o
This can be overcome by fitting a cutout switch on the A-post so the trafficator drops when the door is opened.

It was a he/she of unknown gender at first - now decided that as we have one girl the other should be a boy, that way we may get more :-)

Will make mental note of trafficator issues - Thanks

Nice.
Is that just a coincidence with the number plate?
Older and more confused than I could ever imagine possible.

Yes, pure coincidence. Lots of them really. Both cars have similar plates, both cost the same money, both bought on a Saturday and MOT'd the following Monday (hopefully). Both local cars. Both delux versions with the duo tone trim - I think I was meant to have this one !!!!

Cheers - I think I'll be replacing the wood sooner rather than later as I have found another couple of iffy bits but the MOT guy was happy with it so maybe just me? I really love the Travellers - They seem just so "right" in lots of ways :-)

It has been mentioned that there should be a "Jill" :-) All he needed was the brakes stripping and adjusting and a number plate bulb :-) I've also treated him to 4 new tyres !!!!
