Sad story of 2 travellers

Post by badfelafel »

Friend of a friend bought 2 travellers, intending to restore one using the other for parts. He didn't get round to it, and more sadly, let people remove bits that they needed, meaning that he could never complete the job.

He wants rid of them - are they worth anything?

Doubt it Barry. Where are they? Out in the sticks obviously! Looks like he had better just continue the 'breaking' process and put the parts up for sale here - or on ebay.

As its easy to get spare parts -cost aside! its possible to save them but would anybody want to.

I am with BMC on this, easier and more money to be gained from breaking them.

If he wants rid, should we be encouraging him to break them? This is the MMOC remember.... :-?

Perhaps he should just put them on ebay as restoration projects first and see if there are any takers. No reserve 99p

Well - there seems to be still no sign of the long promised new ones - so it's time to start hoarding!

What have I missed about Kingpins? I have a couple at my Dads which were due to be scrapped at Christmas but haven't. I've asked him not to scrap them now and keep hold of them for my next visit, with the back axle that's also there. Is there a major shortage or something?

To be fair, ESM are still quoting the same date for *their* ones, and when I asked for an update was told it was still on schedule.
