I will be coming down the M5, off at J25 onto the A358 and then the A303. This seems to be the best route? Any opinions?

Hi Cam - a flat area has been saved for the caravan
Don't forget a big central space for the 9 x 3 marquee tomorrow!

Really annoyed about the lack of showers!! That one (and trains for M!)was the final decider not to come down on Friday.

Don't worry - a space has been saved for the gazebo. Lots more people have arrived today and the toilets have been delivered. They're tardis type cubicles though so not the greatest as they have no sinks. It's been warm this afternoon and the sun has been out so the ground is now dry. We have now got a spot on branch avenue so we'll have around 6 cars on display tomorrow, with a different 6 on sunday (not decided which ones yet though), so look out for the website banner. I've got some cake and hopefully we'll have some tea making facilities so please stop and say hello.

I'm sure we can fit it in Ray. At the moment it's all very relaxed about who's parking there. I think it'll just be a case of whoever gets up early, as we've been told the cars need to be in place by around 9.00am.

See you tomorrow, and Dale, Rog, Roger and anyone else who's coming along. Due to the lack of showers those that have been here since Thursday are starting to feel a little bit 'grubby' (not to mention suffering from the dreaded 'tent hair') so please excuse us if we're not looking our best!

Just to say got back A OK - much more power - at one stage I was overtaking at 68mpg :-) Decided again checking exactly how fast I could have gone - didn't want to take any unnecessary risks Again many thanks especially to Steve and Alex and also to Dan and others who got involved in some way. So nice to meet up with those who have been helping me over the last few months and will certainly be looking forward to meeting up again. :D
Again big thanks and enjoy tomorrow - don't get too hot.
Now what's going on here - are we making a tent for very little people :o
Image

Image
Just got back from the national, I'm exhausted.

Had a great time. Planning on coming to more shows in the future now that Tim has proven himself reliable :)

Will post some photos in a bit

love the travellertent
The owner is a lovely man from Denmark. He's 77 years old and has owned the traveller for 41 years - he bought it when it was 6 months old. He's spending 2 months driving around the UK and was told about the National when in Portsmouth so made a detour to attend. He said that he has carried a bike on the roof ever since he got the car in case it breaks down! Minor parts are difficult to get hold of in Denmark and he comes to the UK if any major work needs doing on it. He thoroughly enjoyed the National and I've told him about the site and he said he will sign up and post when he returns home. He is hoping that some UK owners will want to go to a rally in Denmark next year.

Really good to see all of you there (ok - I seem to have missed one or 2 people!)

I'd like to say a major thanks to LouiseM for making us all feel so welcome with ceremonial tea and cake! ps - sorry for the leg pulling (of many varieties)
Also thanks to RQ and BigJonR for reserving us all enough space.

Also a big thanks to Andy's parents for the loan of the big gazebo. With the 99% good weather it wasn't really needed but it's the thought that counts.
