Just seen this subject on in Classic Car Weekly. This is a criminal waste of what looks like a super little Minor. I am so angry so see someone would even consider trading her for a faceless Hyundai! If only there were a way to save her. I be glad to pay £2000 to see her avoid that grizzly fate. :(

I don't see what's wrong with Hyundai - just as good as most moderns, and better than some with higher prices.

However, lets just hope the Government Scrappage scheme doesn't claim too many more classics before the entire farce is over.

Hmm - "Government Scrappage" food for thought.

where to break down next?

Nothing wrong with Hyundai's in particular. I much prefer them to the latest KA for example. Just all the latest cars at the lower end of the market are faceless compared to a moggie. I am quite happy for the old badly maintained vehicles to be scrapped. Not a smart classic like this one. My rather 'stupid' neighbour is sending a perfect Mk2 Golf convertable with 14,000 miles to scrappage. Thats got to have 10 years of usable life left so makes no sense to me. The owner can't be bothered to even advertise it and has more money than sense. I know it's their choice but surely this is all wrong. :(

It's showing people up for the greedy ignoramuses they are, IMO.

well its all called peoples choice and after all cars are only bits of metal and have no personalities

we all have our reasons for minor ownership and all have their reason for the scrappage scheme
