Betsy Blue.

"She" was originally "he" - the previous owner was unaware of the absolute, indissoluble rule that all saloons are female, and all travellers and vans are male - and was known as Bertie Blue.

When I re-assigned her, I was originally going to call her Betty Blue, until I googled it and found out that Betty Blue was the title of a risque French semi-porn film... so not a good name for a car belonging to a clergyman. We get enough of a tarnished reputation thanks to some our dodgy Anglican colleagues, without giving our cars porny names....!

That's not neccesarily true :) .. I don't know why but you can tell just by looking at each minor whether it be a boy or a girl regardless of whether its a saloon or traveller :D

Mine are Sidney and Emily

Molly the Traveller is definitely feminine, in fact all my cars have been.
To me, a Minor has to be female due to the huge fluttery eyes and alluring smile. I won't dwell on the risk of getting your fingers burnt if you fiddle under the bonnet

All cars are female, you know this because of the mood swings you can get and the fact that you can never compliment them in their presence.

My Minors are:
Annie (or Annabelle to be more accurate, depends on if she’s running right or not) not sure why that name was chosen as it was such a long time ago but it stuck and suits her.
Lottie because her number plate starts LOT
Puddles because her number plate starts PUD

You ever complimented a car? "she's been running fine" is the key phrase that can start a number of issues that can result in anything from a minor service to a major re-build.

My sig pic says it all. Albert said his name derives from his number plate. He gave a wry chuckle when I told him that was the name I had given to my teddy bear back in the days when my dad had a traveller of a similar age. What a coincidence!
Older and more confused than I could ever imagine possible.

Mine dont really get names. The first morry i had was called old blue by its previous owner. it was held together with bog and had a icecream container between the seats to hold his beers in!

next morry is nameless, so is the ute but i thought this one deserves a name:

Blue Streak, named after a british ballistic missile haha
