Not exactly 'Spotted' but... 2-door saloon and van. Both maroon. Both split-screen. Both parked by the amusement park in Stourport-on-Severn. Anyone know them and the story behind them?

Spotted a white saloon going the opposite way on the M18 this morning. Looked to be modified with big black wheels and was moving at a fair lick

Re: Spotted today.
Post Office Red (?) Traveller a few cars back in the queue behind me in SW London this afternoon - honest it wasn't a road run.
Earlier in the week my 1960 4 door squeezed past a similar Daimler Dart going south up Sheen Lane after leaving Richmond Park. Nice to get two silver on black reg vehicles in the same area!

Re: Spotted today.
There was a major vehicle show at West Bergholt near Colchester yesterday. There were a considerable number of Minors exhibited so it is not surprising that there would have been several on the way home in the Essex/Suffolk area. One convertible was for sale at £11,500.

Re: Spotted today.
Seen those two a few times. The van was resprayed and refurbished by Swan Garage just the other end of the High Street to be used as publicity for the Amusement Park. I guess the boss is a Minor enthusiast....palacebear wrote:Not exactly 'Spotted' but... 2-door saloon and van. Both maroon. Both split-screen. Seen on Sunday afternoon - a white traveller parked up near the M5 at Weston, then much much later on the M5 after we'd all been waiting for best part of 2 hours for an accident to be cleared - he came past me when the traffic started flowing again.
Seen today in Hereford - nice looking white 4 door 1000 parked up on a street corner.
cheers
Iain

Just out side of Frodsham on the way to Lady Hayes antiques centre yesterday saw a smoke grey saloon, sporting a very nice roof rack, waiting to pull out at a junction. I was in my daughters modern so was he completely unaware of my presence

Re: Spotted today.
There was a 1963 black convertible with a red hood in Bovingdon at about 5 15 this afternoon.
Re: Spotted today.
Many Minors on display at the very large Stonham Barns Classic Car Show (near Ipswich) today. Every model was present from 1940s side valves to end of production in 1971. 2 and 4 door saloons, pick ups, vans, travelers all in wonderful condition. I was glad I was there with my MG as Tapitha would have looked scruffy compared to the pristine cars!
( I have tried to add a couple of photos but I cannot work out how to do the new way of adding photos. I can't find a brouse button!)

Re: Spotted today.
Very nice Maroon Traveller in Leeds City Centre this afternoon. Just had my Maroon B paint delivered, so if this is a local car it could have a twin next spring (or the spring after, or....)
