Was it Black and in very good condition ? If so probably belongs to Pete Gamble from Derby area and one of the very early club members.

Talked to the owner, it was actually a more 'oily rag' car close up, very honest and original. There were a number of Minors in attendance on Sunday plus loads of other very nice cars. A good day out.

Lovely white traveller in St Mawes, Cornwall Tuesday 23rd Apr. I was on holiday down there and took a nice piccy, if it belonged to anyone on here. :D

Spotted a nice clean looking Mk 1 Ford Cortina GT1500 on the A1 yesterday... though it's currently on a SORN so not a runner most likely.

The Cortinas MOT expired on the 17th September 2017 but the number plate on the vehicle towing it does not come up on the DVLA site.

More than a bit suspicious, I tried the following -
DHE, DNE, DME, DHF (in case there was a black spot on the plate), DNF and DMF.
The only one that was a hit was
DME 110R, which is on a 2010 3ltr Diesel BMW so the transporter could be a BMW body.

Hello Mr Panky, long time no correspond. I think you may be correct, having looked at the origianl picture again, it isn't a "car transporter" and does look more like a trailer.
I would have thought that the DVLA database would be the definitive one, rather than some 3rd party Insurance Co. one as reported by Morris Van.
From the TFL Congestion Charge prepayment site -
DME110R Grey BMW X5 XDRIVE40D SE AUTO
so not a Mitsubishi.
This is the site I used to find out where my original reg number, for my 1956 Traveller was (90 BPH).

The DVLA doesn't always get it right I know of at least four cars family and friends have had and they have got it wrong. One friend had a Mazda MX5 and the DVLA said his car was an Astra it wasn't until he showed it to them before they would believe him. My last two cars I have bought I have had send the v5 logbook back as they have got it wrong.

Just to give people a bit of closure on this, it was on a trailer being pulled by a Grey/Silver SUV BMW, but I wouldn't know if it were an X2, 3, 5, 6, or 7!! It wasn't a 1 or a 4 as they are more saloon looking.

I'm assuming an error on the Trailer Reg plate ...
