Re: Spotted today.
Max enjoying a bit of short-lived sunshine in Stourbridge. The 1962 2-door in the background has recently been re-painted into Clipper Blue and is just about to have final adjustments made to it's door hinges.

Spotted today in Kidderminster.
On the ring road heading towards Weavers Wharf, a nice 2-door Moggie saloon. J-reg. Trafalgar Blue.
On Bridgnorth Road heading towards Habberly, a well-used, white Triumph Herald 13/60 convertible, top down in the sunshine, with magnetic signs attached to the doors (owner's small business maybe) and a couple of missing hubcaps!
On Stourbridge Road heading towards the ring road, a Foden (I think) steam lorry.

Just watching a very very early episode of Midsomer Murders (Series 1 Episode 2 - 'Written In Blood'). Nice shots of a Morris OXFORD Series 2 Traveller reg.KNL729 in Sandy Beige.

Re: Spotted today.
I took Max to Offmore Road Garage in Kidderminster for MOT today. MOT tester Dave is a Minor chap. Parked outside the garage today was one of his creations...
It rides on Suzuki SJ40 4x4 chassis and transmission.

Re: Spotted today.
Went on a routine shopping trip into Droitwich Spa today. Glorious weather. Found the annual 'Boat & Car' festival in full swing with craft stalls along the canal towpath along with some nicely turned-out narrow boats housing on-board craft stalls. Several roads in the town centre were closed to accommodate vintage and classic car displays. Among the car's were a Porcelain Green 2-door Minor and an Old English White Minor convertible with duo-tone interior.

Re: Spotted today.
Saw a fantastic Morris today on the A39 near Penryn.....the kind you don't often see nowadays - an old, black, early 1000, looked very battered and dilapidated but all original and still on the road. It was carrying an equally dilapidated canoe on the roof! I was in mine so we waved, of course

I parked next to this today in B&Q car park, Kidderminster.
Ford Consul 315 Classic. A slightly rarer 2-door saloon version. Reg.no. ***KOJ dates it to late 1963. Very nice with the after-market wheels.1956 4-door called Max

Re: Spotted today.
One of the nicest UK Ford's from the 60s in my opinion. The fast-back version (Consul Capri) beats it by a short head though

Re: Spotted today.
So here I am on honeymoon in Gran Canaria. Unsurpringly not a Moggie in sight. However, just around the corner from our hotel in Playa del Ingles, this 1950's Cadillac hangs precariously from a wall advertising a casino. It's been hanging there for some years and used to be pink, advertising the Hard Rock Cafe which occupied the site in pre-casino days.

Re: Spotted today.
A few more spots in Gran Canaria. No pics as once again I'm unable to post them (see rant elsewhere on forum).
Edit: Some pics now posted
Around Playa del Ingles and Las Palmas: A pink VW Beetle early 1970s with big blue eyes in place of headlamps and wearing Herbie's '53' racing number - static advert for a shopping centre. A lovely black Citroen Traction Avant 'Big Fifteen' parked under the entrance canopy of a hotel and available for wedding hire. Lengthened boot so 1952/53 model. A really rough 1990-ish red Seat Marbella/Fiat Panda with the windows brush-painted matt black and a moped on the roof - a static advert for a scooter and bicycle hire shop.
On the road: a very clean right-hand-drive 1989 Jag XJ40 on Spanish plates with a faded GB sticker on the back. Equally clean, a 1973/74 Merc 280CE. Rust-free, an early 1980s Mitsubishi Galant saloon. A bizarre looking Trabant painted in the blue orange and white colour scheme used on the LeMans Ford GT40 in 1967.
Seems to be a keen interest in Japanese short-wheelbase 4x4s from the mid-80s to mid-90s. Quite a few 20 to 30 year-old Toyota Prado/Land Cruiser, Mitsubishi Pajero/Shogun and Nissan Ebro/Patrol all looking very well loved. Best one a 1983 Patrol pick-up with only 21000km on the clock.
Wreck of the week - being driven when I saw it: A first generation Renault Megane with rust holes where the roof should meet the tops of both A-pillars.

A saloon being towed by a large motor home on the A55 in Wales yesterday. We were heading in the opposite direction on our way home from Angelsey in the Commer Jennings Roadranger.

Re: Spotted today.
Monthly classic car meet at the Old Waggon & Horses near Kidderminster. No Moggies except for Max but this 1963 Austin J2 7-seat mini-bus caught my attention. It was on it's first outing since 1998. Must be a challenge to drive as the floor gearchange has 1st and 3rd closer to the driver than 2nd and 4th are!

Re: Spotted today.
Also at the Waggon & Horses today was this very pretty little coupe. It's a 1962 Ogle SX1000 (never heard of it previously) and is car number 5 of a production run numbering 65 units. Built to accept Mini running gear, this one is currently Cooper 1275cc powered.

Re: Spotted today.
David Ogle, who established the company, sadly died after a crash in an SX1000 in 1962. His company continued however, going on to design the Reliant Robin, Reliant Scimitar, Bond Bug etc.
