Saw two minors today travelling on the North Mundham/Runcton section of the road between Bognor and Chichester, around midday today, within 5 minutes of each other! First one was a smart E reg? cream convertible with a red hood, and the next one going in the same direction, a saloon with a JJJ registration. Both looked very tidy, and would have been better tucked up in the garage than being out in the lousy wet weather.

I'm not sure I agree with you. These cars are to be used! Mine was outside in the wet weather yesterday. It is outside in the weather everyday as I don't have a garage to keep it in. It doesn't seem to do it much harm. It is over 60 years old and nearly 30 years since it had a fairly thorough restoration. It has been well rustproofed regularly and not required any welding underneath. When it needs it, I will take it off the road and restore the bodywork again but that seems some way off yet. Each to his own but nobody should be afraid to drive their Morris - rain or shine!

As you say, everybody to their own. Convertibles particularly are prone to water ingress, which one of these vehicles was. Hence my comment.

Mine is also a Convertible. I have never had any problem with water ingress despite it living outside all year round. It is largely a matter of making sure the window rubbers are in good condition and everything fits properly.

The Minors around Runcton on Saturday had been to a West Sussex branch breakfast meet at

It must be a good weather thing, in the last few days I have seen a few Minors around the Manchester area.
I saw a grey split screen towing a trailer in near Sale, I saw a cream tourer in Cheadle.
Yesterday I saw a blue saloon in Ramsbottom whilst I was in my 2 door.
Nice to see so many out and about.

Spotted over the weekend in Nottingham.

Bit of a curio so I thought I'd post it here....

A Grumman Kubvan: as far as I can tell it's an early version of the Grumman LLV that the US Postal Service used for decades to deliver mail.
This one is in natural polished Aluminium but it has the Blue/Red Stripe along the side that you would associate with the US Postal Vans.
DVLA has it as manufactured in '85; Wikipedia recons the Grumman LLV was introduced to the USPS in '87, so perhaps it was a trial postie van.
The LLV used by the USPS were (are?) RH Drive, so the postie can put mail in the mailboxes without leaving the seat, but this appears to be a Left-hander.
