National Rally Purchases?
Did any one else take advantage of a well know parts suppliers "Special Offer" at the show? I purchased a couple of swivel pins and some body repair panels, gave him a cheque (as requested) and was promised delivery the following week. Today I had my cheque returned saying "Sorry the parts are currently more expensive in the catalogue" so we cannot supply them to you at the show price!! The "catalogue" I used was the one handed out at the show! To say I'm a bit "miffed" is an understatement!! Has anyone else failed to get there parts?

Re: National Rally Purchases?
Thats disgusting treatment, and this is the kind of thing that should be named and shamed IMHO.
If they are offering items at "Special Offer" and accept your payment then they are legally bound to provide said items in return.
They accepted a payment from you for goods.
Personally I would report them to Trading Standards.

Re: National Rally Purchases?
I'm pretty sure the supplier was acting within the law by sending back the cheque. If they cashed it in and kept the cash... that is a whole different scenario. But, in some respect they have simply just refused to sell you the goods which I believe is perfectly legal.

Re: National Rally Purchases?
My guess is, the trader dropped a doo doo and priced everything up wrong and would have lost quite a bit of cash on the sales. Personally like the above poster recommends, I'd ring them up and ask why they refused to honour the sale.

Re: National Rally Purchases?
The saga continues! I phoned the company in question today and got a bit of a runaround! oh you need to speak to ...... He's out at the min phone back" I phoned back, "oh you will have to speak to ...... but he's busy, he will phone you back" still waiting!
I agree with Dean, my guess is that the trader handed out an old price list and only realised when he got back to base and someone else started processing the orders. Hence I wondered if anyone else had been given the same treatment or was it just me who got an old list?
Its not hundereds of pounds where talking about, the original order was £134.09 the difference they want me to pay is only £23.00 but its the principle! I have had hundreds of pounds worth of goods off this trader over the last couple of years and I have another project to start this winter, I certainly wont be using them for any more parts! There are other traders out there so I will just use them.

They even gave me a full refund on a seat cover as it was a darker blue than my existing seats as they had faded with time.kjm wrote:We buy all our parts from ESM , excellent service and good prices
