Hmm, no, it wasn't a standalone sketch. More of a transition. Perhaps it was in Spam? I've watched the whole series in order in the past, but right now I'm jumping around.
Higher education will do that to you.
The way to a man's heart may be making food, but the way to my heart is buying me car parts!
Come read about my Minor at An American Moggie.
I watched Wrecks to Riches USA last night (it's the one where they build the Chevy 11 gasser), and at the start of the programme, there's some drag racing footage and you see a Minor leaving a Camaro for dead.

The killer cars?
In 'Monty Pythons: And Now for Something Completely Different', Minors and (i think) Farina style Oxfords are indeed the 'Killer Cars'. It's a very random animation/sketch (perfectly normal for Monty Python actually...) where the cars just pootle around and then pounce on unsuspecting passers by.
I wouldn't call it 'popular culture' though, except for the fact that is that very sketch that provided me with the name for my first minor, 'Monty'
can't believe this hasn't been said yet, worzel gummidge. the white convertible morris 1000 saloon .. the dude with the moustache and the flat cap used to nip in the bookies or the pub and left his kids to roam around all hours with a mincing scarecrow. i ask you! things never change..
