All Metropolitan police pandas were fitted with crossply tyres but I cannot vouch for the other forces. I changed my pandas crossplys for Bridgestones and the difference was remarkable would never go back to crossplys.

If you have the larger capacity fuel tank it does restrict the size of wheel that can fit between fuel tank and boot floor.

Phil
It's the standard size ( early ) top panel, the extra capacity is in the bottom panel , with a removable cross-brace ( front to back actually ) and only the saloon wheel/tyre will fit..

Thank you for the reply.

If your tank is standard - is it an after market tank which may vary slightly in shape/design?

It does seem strange that RobH's wheel will fit into the space allocated for the spare wheel.

The ESM listing for the larger capacity tank does state that the spare wheel has to be relocated.

Phil
The link to ESMs tank has a different top profile,no way would you get a spare in there,my tank top has the same standard profile and will fit the standard rim shod with Michelin 145x14 but no way will a van rim shod with 155x14 80s fit in there...

P.S just found out it holds 8.5 Gallons

Now if you had said that you have van rims instead of saloon rims at the beginning I would have understood and agreed right at the start.
