Pickup restoration

Post by Ron S »

I am in the process of restoring a 1970 pickup, discovered having been in a dry garage for 18+ years.(done only 43k with supporting docs)
All going to plan at present. I'm sure that I will need more advice later, but in the meantime can anyone suggest where I can get a replacement hood made. I have the one found with the vehicle but it is very dirty and a little 'tender' in places.
All the 'hoops' are ok.
Alternatively what is the best way to clean the existing canvas hood?

Don't bother with second hand rubbish.
Go to Comptons.
Get one made by the experts as featured in many Minor articles.
enquiries@comptons2000.co.uk

The price for the full cover including all straps and buckels is £250.00 plus a £15.00 carriage.

And the cost of the tonneau is £125.00
Both are really well made and fit really well.
I have just purchased both. (Had a bit of a wait due to a huge MOD order but I was very happy with the result!!)
