Brilliant ! what a piece of social history,lack of crash hats ,drinking whist driving,thriving local shops ,lots of working clocks,loads of pipe smokers etc....loved it :D

No sign of lights, or even reflectors on the back in the dark and bicycle lamps for head lights.

Makes you proud , doesn't it :D

My car would have been only 6 weeks old when they did that! Really love those sort of challenges. Nowadays if you used a Morris Minor folks would stop and look :lol:

Answers on a postcard, what is the engine? I think its a JAP 55? Its either Jap or BSA, but Im running with Jap 55.

Puts me in mind of a film available on dvd called the straight story.

I counted 16- only 1 lowlight, 1 van and 1 traveller -rest where saloons

Very nice. Nothing like today. If they did that today they would have to do 100 risk assessments, wear hi-vis jackets shoes socks . and probably have a police escort, ambulance and fire engine following them!!!
